A student fully completes the program when they have obtained a PASS from their instructor and there are no further recommendations.  At that point they are ready to seek paid employment as Spanish Instructors or related areas.

Graduates can seek employment at any private institution or most adult education programs in Canada and abroad.

Students will be certified by the Canada-Mexico Cultural Exchange Centre to teach  Spanish as a Foreign Language. In some places, the institution where you obtained your training is an important factor in getting or not a job interview. Each country and institution has its own requirements for teaching. If you have a specific preference for an institution and/or country where you would like to teach, we suggest you check with them and ensure your training will be adequate for their needs.

Our graduates have been eligible for scholarships granted by the government of Spain to further their studies as Spanish teachers.

For students graduating from the Spanish Program there are opportunities to enter a Public Board of Education in Canada, as a Spanish as a Foreign Language instructor.

Toronto, GTA and South Western Ontario Boards of Education: To start as Spanish Teacher Assistant and work towards obtaining a full time position. Individual schools can choose to hire a non Ontario College of Teachers Certified instructor to teach Spanish.

Private Language Schools salaries range from $15 to $35 an hour approximately.

Private and Independent Schools: High school Spanish Instructors great opportunities for those individuals who have had previous teaching experience. Annual salaries vary from $ 35,000 to about $ 95,000 a year.
